Whitecourt Oil Corp. was founded in 1987 by the Centorame family.
The Centorame family had owned a business in Europe for 60 years that processed and sold food grade olive oils. In 1987 Whitecourt Oil was originally funded in part by the National Research Council of Canada with sponsers and grants with the mission of developing, 1) Biostable and Biostatic cutting fluids and coolants and 2) Non-oil vegetable based cutting fluids.
As a result of a very unique and state of the art, biostable technology was created. This technoly has been perfected over this 15 year period and several new products have also been developed for specific applications during this time. The premium quality ingredients and raw materials come from the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The manufacturing facility, the R&D facility, and state of the art laboratory are located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.
Some of Whitecourts tools, test instruments and processes included are;
Atomic Absorbtion, Gas Chromatography, Reichert Anti-wear and Lubrication Tester, high performance liquid Chromatography, Infra Red Spectrascopy, an ultra sensitive Viscosity Tester, a Cnomo Foam Tester and high powered, temperature controlled centrifuges for oil stability determination testing.
The 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility houses a 23 tank farm that has the capability of manufacturing batches from 1000 to 6000 gallons at a time.
